Application of Soap Stone Powder/Talc:

Paper Industry: Talc is used in three stages of paper making -as a filler, to control pitch and stickiest and in paper coating, Plastic Industry: Plastic Industry consumes high quality ultra fine talc in polypropylene, polyamides, cable PVC and other plastic compounds. Talc is being increasingly used in HDPE, PP, LDPE, PVC, ABS & thermosetting compounds. It is excellent filler due to blending characteristics and thermal and electrical resistant, Paint Industry: Owing to its low cost and platy structure, Talc is widely used in the paint industry, particularly in marine paints and protective coatings, Cosmetics: The natural qualities of talc gives cosmetics stability, texture, skin adhesion, slip and water resistance. Talc is pure, odorless and free from impurities. Talc is used in Body Talc (Talcum Powder) and Toilet Soaps. In body talc, it acts as a perfume carrier due to its chemical inertness and lamellar structure. In soaps, talc is mainly used as filler. It also acts as a binding agent and gives hardness to the cake, Detergents: In detergent powder also, Talc acts as a carrier of detergents and also reduces the cost. Due to its natural quality of being inert and harmless to skin, it is the most popular filler. Rubber: Talc reduces the viscosity of rubber compounds, thereby facilitating the processing of moulded parts. It also improves extrudate qualities, increasing production rates and enhancing UV radiation resistance of exterior parts such as automotive profiles, Agriculture and Food: Talc is an effective anti-caking agent, dispersing agent and die lubricant and therefore helps animal feed and fertilizer plants to function more efficiently. In premixes and agricultural chemicals, it makes an ideal inert carrier.
